The Wolverine Villain Rumors!
A source to Comicbookmovie.com appearently has details of the opening scene in the now in production The Wolverine. So in the opening to The Wolverine, we would supposedly have Wolverine and a fellow soldier in a Japanese prisoner of war camp and in that very scene in The Wolverine, the other soldier would be caught in a nuclear explosion. Now keep in mind this will take place at the start of the movie, plus it’s rumored that the other soldier that escapes the prison of war camp name is Lt. Ethan Warren.
Lt. Ethan Warren first appeared in Brian K. Vaughn’s Logan comic book miniseries, “Lt. Ethan Warren was a mutant with apparently similar powers to Wolverine, in the fact that he was almost invincible, able to survive a nuclear explosion, albeit being reduced to a flaming skeleton. However, he did not possess an accelerated healing factor, but was immune to pain. After his exposure to the nuclear explosion of Hiroshima, he gained energy projection abilities, and a degree of superhuman strength great enough to rip open Wolverine’s chest. Due to his Training in the U.S. Army, he was also an excellent combat fighter.”

So it would seem like Silver Samurai and Viper won’t be the only villains in The Wolverine, though we do have to wait and see if Lt. Warren would be use as a third villain or maybe kept for a future sequel. The Wolverine slices and dices his way into theaters on July 26, 2013.
